We all know that most people on the Internet look at least a little bit different in real life, especially when it comes to influencers with millions of followers. Beauty experts, makeup gurus, fitness coaches, and all kinds of celebrities go to great lengths to alter their appearance and sometimes go overboard with 'special effects'. Here's a list of Photoshop edits made by influencers that look so unrealistic it hurts our eyes to look at them.
Something Seems Off
When people have more than 1 million followers the pressure to maintain their interest and to get even more attention is too much. At least, we think that's why this girl is Photoshopping her photos like there's no tomorrow.
Why would a beautiful young woman even think about using so much image editing? If you look at her figure, it's obvious that the proportions of her waist and hips are way off.
She looks unnaturally thin and it's not like we have something against thin people who are simply born that way - but creating this fake beauty standard just adds more pressure to all those young women growing up and looking at these fake photos.
Wait a Minute...
Did you ever see a person in real life and think that his head was too small or his proportions were off? Well, even if you have, we doubt it was the scale we see in this picture.
Just looking at his small head and oversized arms makes us think about hours spent in Photoshop or some other image editor.
Who would even want to look like that? His body doesn't look natural or appealing with these weird proportions and the whole photo just screams Photoshop. People notice these things quickly and don't buy it at all.

Even Kim Kardashian would envy this beautiful young woman with a huge rear and a miniscule flat tummy. Well, maybe this girl was inspired by the socialite's not-so-hourglass figure, we really don't know.
The lower part of her body looks like it was purposefully enlarged, while the stomach was made to look thinner than it actually is.
Needless to say, this photo doesn't look natural at all (or beautiful for that matter). Our brains are wired in such a way that we immediately notice when the proportions of a human body are off. This Photoshop diva went too far!
Slender-Man, is That You?
How skinny do you want your jeans to be? We realize that finding that perfectly fitting jeans is a feat worthy of a hero, but this just looks disturbing on so many levels.
Did this guy think that no one will notice that this is image is Photoshopped all way through? There's no way on Earth that he could pull his ankles through these teeny-tiny jeans.
His legs looks so thin that our eyes hurt even looking at them. Why would he want to alter his image like that? That's a mystery that will probably never be solved.
Alien Ballerina
We get it, dancers want to look as good as possible and show off their picture perfect bodies. But don't they already look fitter than most of the people who aren't that active?
This woman looks gorgeous beyond words in the first picture, gracefully posing for a photo, while in the other one she seems like an alien from some horror movie.
She is still graceful, but those unnaturally long legs just look ridiculous. You can also tell that the picture has been Photoshopped to the extreme by her non-existent thighs. Even a ballerina isn't that thin!
Instagram vs Real Life
So many things could be said about Asian people and Photoshop… Whenever you see a beautiful Asian woman on Instagram look twice because chances there’s a different person hiding inside that photo and you won’t recognize her in real life.

Can we trust anyone on Instagram these days? The more fake they look, the more suspicious you should be. Image editing tools are very easy to use and even a kid could click a few buttons and create a totally different person (not that kids need that kind of stuff).

It seems that looking like a doll is one of the most popular beauty standards in Asia. Many people turn to plastic surgeries to alter their appearance, but not everyone is ready for such drastic changes.
In that case, they choose a less intrusive approach and just face tune themselves to the point of no return. This woman looks like a totally different person!
This is deceitful on so many levels and we get why someone would want to look better – but that’s not how you do it! A good diet, a proper sleeping regime, and lots of sports can do magic for you in real life.

It seems that the majority of influencers on Instagram and Facebook lie about their appearance at least a little bit – and some create a totally different person using image editing tools. Well, the truth will always find its way and it will be revealed one way or the other.
The more followers you have and the more fans you gather, the more attentive everyone becomes towards everything you do. Naturally, people started questioning the doll-like image of this woman.

We don’t have anything against women who are into bodybuilding and like to do weightlifting. And yet, something just seems off about this image and the way those muscular hands look on this picture.

When editing images it’s so easy to get lost and cross the point of no return. Seriously, retouching is a type of alteting that should mostly be gentle and barely there. Like, you know the image was changed but it looks so good that you almost don’t care.
Well, that’s definitely not the case here! This retouching was so over the top that it even erased this woman’s knuckles!
Did she think no one would notice? Or maybe she genuinely thought that this photo looked beautiful with her skin texture fully gone. Her hand doesn’t even look like it belong to a human anymore.

This woman almost looks normal, but then you just start noticing that her face is unnaturally smooth. Even women who defy age and look great as they get older can’t avoid a few wrinkles here and there.
Obviously, this lady smoothed out most of her skin texture, but she forgot the reflection – it looks much more natural, revealing all those crevices and wrinkles we all have.
But the funniest part about this picture is that she’s actually advertising an anti-wrinkle cream. Deceiving people like that is not good for your karma!

Wouldn’t you just love your very own personal cloud to follow you around wherever you go? No? Well, it seems that this woman found a way to get her very own personal cloud because it’s the same one on all photos!
We never though anyone needed to Photoshop clouds out of the things that can be edited inside a picture, but apparently that’s a thing, too.
Is the bright blue sky not pretty enough for Instagram? Would the followers condemn her appearing against a cloudless sky? We’ll probably never know.
Even Comic Con Photos Lie
Comic Con is a place where you can meet all kinds of people dressed to impress. They seriously go overboard with their costumes and makeup depicting favourite characters, so you don’t usually expect Comic Con photos to be altered in some.
But that’s the case here! Despite her cool outfit, this woman felt the need to alter her appearance even further and make herself look almost non-human.
This lady probably did that to resemble the character even more, but lying about your looks like that is simply wrong. She doesn’t even look like a grown-up woman anymore!

Is there an app that gives people these weird unnatural smiles while whitening their eyes? Looking at this woman’s profile it definitely seems to be the case.
So many photos feature a similar creepy smile that doesn’t look like it belongs on her face at all. And those eyes are Photoshopped too much!
