Have you also stopped watching news channels because you can’t withstand the terrifying news each day? War-related news can be disturbing to watch. It affects your mental health and in some cases puts you in depression. Especially, when you are helpless and can only pray for your brothers and sisters stuck in war-affected zones. Do you also want to get out of the trauma and once again relax your mind like before?
Don’t you worry, as I have some easy and effective suggestions for your mind to relax.
STOP WATCHING NEWS:
Constant disturbing news on the channels can be hard on your mind and body. It makes you overthink situations and fear the world.
TALK TO YOUR LOVED ONES:
If the war-related news is terrifying you talk to your friends, colleagues, and family. Try speaking your heart out. It will relax your mind and give you a sigh of relief. You’ll realize that you’re not alone in this battle, everyone else is also going through it. It will definitely feel like you are validated and heard.
GO OUT FOR A WALK:
Go out in the greens or into your street and walk for a while. Look around and practice gratitude. Thank God for all the blessing He has bestowed you with and ask for strength to overcome this fear.
OFFER SUPPORT TO WAR-AFFECTED PEOPLE:
To make yourself feel better - be a source of goodness for other people. What you can do is reach out to the people who have been recently affected by the Ukraine-Russia war. Offer them financial aid and moral support. If you can’t help them financially, at least hear them out and give them a sense of assurance that they are not alone in this war.
