What is School Phobia?

School phobia is the fear of leaving your parents and going out into a completely new world. Little kids get scared even from the idea of getting separated from their mothers and fathers. This is why they start throwing tantrums as they just want to let out the anxiety and frustration. Moreover, your child starts feeling nauseous, they reject wearing school uniforms and get abdominal pains.

How to overcome School Phobia?

There are some ways to help your child get over the fear of separation. Which include:

Book an appointment:

First and foremost, book an appointment with your kid’s pediatrician. Get their nausea and abdominal pain checked. Once everything’s checked, discuss the child’s whole situation in detail with the doctor. They will provide you with expert advice.

Set up a school at home:

Try playing pretend and play with your child. Make them more familiar with the school environment. Talk to them and make them understand, that you are never going to leave them alone. It is just a matter of some hours. This will give them a sense of fulfillment.

Play dates and Day Care:

Play dates and day cares are one of the best ways to introduce your child to other kids and adults. They’ll learn to behave and react in certain environments peacefully.
