As kids, many did not have any interest in exercising. Nevertheless, most if not all still did it, albeit unconsciously. Most kids enjoyed running around the field all afternoon, going up and down numerous staircases, and even jumping about over a hundred times until sundown; all these were accomplished voluntarily without any complaints. However, as adults, many find exercising a chore. It’s a good thing that history repeats itself as skipping or jumping rope has become popular again. Aside from being a good form of workout, it also somehow brings one’s childhood back; hence, making working out a whole lot of fun.

What you need:

Another positive thing about doing jump ropes is that you do not need a whole lot of equipment. You only need ample space for you to jump around in, jump rope, and music if preferred. You can also opt to buy a mat and weighted jump ropes to achieve your goal, whether it is weight loss or just beginning a habit. The mat helps avoid slips, and in a way, mutes the sound of the rope hitting the floor and your jumps.  Weighted ropes are also good for strength training. You can also play your favorite song or workout playlist in the background while you jump, or you can also listen to the sound of your jumps to get into the rhythm.
