Joe Rogan is a jack of all trades. Being a UFC commentator, a stand-up comedian, and a former Fear Factor host, he gained lots of experience and friends in various fields. But these days he’s most known for his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience that was launched back in 2009.
The podcast quickly grew popular and Joe Rogan went from a hilarious comedian podcaster to a host of his own podcast show, having all kinds of celebrities, actors, musicians, writers, and scientists as guests.

Being an experienced host, it’s hard to knock Joe Rogan’s socks off, but some of his guests certainly managed to do that and more! Here are some of the most hilarious, weird, interesting, and unsettling moments from The Joe Rogan Experience podcast featuring Mike Tyson, Elon Musk, Quentin Tarantino, Jon Stewart, and many more.
Quentin Tarantino and Bruce Lee
Of course, when Joe Rogan met Quentin Tarantino one of the first things he asked was about that very particular fight scene from Once Upon a Time in Hollywood involving Bruce Lee and a character named Cliff. Bruce Lee was presented as a narcissistic know-it-all, who actually lost a fight to a stuntman.
There’s a story behind a story and Quentin Tarantino actually believes the actor and kung-fu legend didn’t treat the stuntmen he acted with in a nice way, which kind of makes him less of a saint everyone believes him to be. The director also thinks that fighting an actual killer (Cliff) who have been to war is a different matter and even a martial artist like Bruce Lee wouldn’t stand a chance.

His unapologetic rant about Bruce Lee being not as great as everyone thought he was made quite an impression on Joe Rogan and although he didn’t speak against it out loud, you could see it on his face that he was quite taken aback by Quentin Tarantino’s approach.
Chuck Palahniuk’s Books Got Banned in Prisons
If you’ve seen Fight Club, the cult movie from the 90’s about split personality that arose as the answer to Generation X angst and the meaninglessness of life, then you know very well who Chuck Palahniuk is. This brilliant writer visited Joe Rogan’s show and shared quite a few mind-boggling facts.
It turns out that his books are banned in most prisons! Reason being that they are way too stimulating and if you remember the movie or the book Fight Club, it does seem kind of fair. But is it the most violence-inducing book we’ve ever read? Well, far from it. Still, in some states prisoners aren’t allowed to enjoy Chuck Palahniuk’s masterpieces.

And not only that, but a lot of public schools along with some private ones also refuse to carry his books, regarding them as unacceptable for children. Well, we can't argue with that!
Jimmy Corsetti Reveals the Ancient Site of Atlantis
Jimmy Corsetti, the man behind the Bright Insight YouTube channel, shed some light on the possible sight of the Lost City of Atlantis when visiting Joe Rogan's podcast. When Plato described Atlantis around 360 B.C., he mentioned that it existed 9,000 years ago, which, when put together, means that Atlantis civilization existed around 11,600 years ago.
Plato also described the main city that consisted of concentric circles (2 of water, 3 of land) and that everything was obliterated by a cataclysm. Jimmy Corsetti presented the Richat structure as a possible site of the Lost City of Atlantis that very much matches that description. You might argue that it’s in the middle of the Sahara desert, but here’s the thing – Sahara hasn’t always been a desert!

The salt on the surface of the Richat structure along with water erosion left in the area nearby prove that this area looked totally different back in the day and was probably covered by water and greenery to some extent. That makes it a perfect site for that Atlantic city! The circles of the Richat structure also have remnants of something that looks like buildings if you take a close look at it via Google Earth.
Will Robert Downey Jr Ever Play Iron Man Again?
For all of you Marvel fans out there, we have bad news for you. Being a Robert Downey Jr fan (kind of) Joe Rogan had to ask whether he’d be back playing Iron Man or that ship has sailed for real? With all the alternative universes that Marvel frequently uses to change the storyline, it’s not entirely impossible to bring Tony Stark back.
While that could somehow happen, RDJ is against bringing back the character to life. He truly feels that it’s time to let Iron Man go and, according to the actor, he just wants to try other things. Well, we can’t argue with that, either!

As an actor, it’s hard to be stuck with one role for a long time, even if it’s a role enjoyed by millions of people across the globe. But things change, so who knows? Maybe Iron Man will grace the silver screen once again some day.
What Keeps Elon Musk Up at Night
Having Elon Musk on your podcast just to casually smoke a joint and talk about life? Yep, that’s Joe Rogan right there, folks. According to Elon Musk he’s not a fan of smoking pоt as it cripples his productivity, but who can say no to Joe Rogan in the middle of a heart-felt interview?
Elon Musk was certainly not impressed, but Joe Rogan was happy to at least try and relax the genius a little bit. The conversation went on about what it’s like being Elon Musk and the inventor confessed that most of the time it felt like a ‘constant explosion’ going on in his head. The never-ending flow of ideas that just never stops.

But what’s actually keeping Elon Musk up at night? Nope, it’s not SpaceX, although that endeavor might be stressful at times, but according to Elon Musk it’s his Tesla company. Running a car company is tough and keeping it afloat is a nearly impossible task, although he does seem to be managing it quite alright.
Mike Tyson and His ‘Pets’
Mike Tyson has been on quite a few Joe Rogan’s podcasts and while most of his exchanges with the host are highly entertaining, we just have to mention his stories about pets. And not just any pets, as you might know that Mike Tyson is a huge fan of big feral cats and used to have three of them.
He didn’t just own the tigers – according to Mike Tyson, they went everywhere with him! He rented these huge vans that would transport them whenever he had to travel or even fly abroad and the hole shebang went with him. He even built special caves for them whenever they reached the point of destination!

Mike Tyson went on explaining what a thrill it was to have a tiger as a pet, but one shouldn’t mess with them, even with domesticated ones. When the animal was not in the mood he would simply go away because that could end up with injuries even for him.
Tim Kennedy and The Hitler Conspiracy
Did you know that there are people out there who truly believe Hitler didn't die in Germany? And not just that, they are actively looking for him still! Tim Kennedy took part in the show ‘Hunting Hitler’ and shared a few insights with Joe Rogan.
One of the most striking discoveries was the fact that even the U.S. government spent millions of dollars after the end of WWII searching for Hitler. Now why would anyone search for a ‘dead’ man on such a scale? According to declassified documents, President Hoover was sending agents all across the globe in search of Hitler.

Also, one of the few genetic tests that were actually done on the supposed head of Hitler testified that it in fact belonged to a 35-year-old woman! It turns out there’s no actual proof that he really died in the bunker and the majority of Nаzіs that held power back then escaped to South Africa.
Joe Rogan Dissing Kim K’s Body
Joe Rogan is known for being vocal about things he doesn’t like or finds atrocious and this time with Kyle Kulinski was no different. The two guys started talking about beauty standards and the overall craze about Kim Kardashian and her notorious bum.
Joe Rogan pointed out that it looked totally artificial and revealed a photo of what her rear actually looks like in real life from a paparazzi photo that was not altered in any way. And it was a totally different image compared to what we’re used to seeing on the web most of the time!

Seriously, this episode with Kyle Kulinski is like a breath of fresh air for all the normally-proportioned women out there who don’t want to have anything to do with these new ‘beauty standards’ created by Kim Kardashian and her family. At least some men have the gut to say it out loud – that’s not pretty at all!
Ben Askren and the Moon Landing Conspiracy
Joe Rogan isn’t hiding the fact that he’s a big fan of conspiracies – they’re just too exciting to ignore! In an episode with Ben Askren, a wrestler and a mixed martial artist, Joe Rogan couldn’t help himself and went on a long rant about the Moon Landing being fake (but he’s not entirely sure now).
Years of studying the topic made him cautious, but he did mention that it was highly suspicious that the whole program back then was run by a ‘former’ Nazі Wernher von Braun, a brilliant engineer with a shady past that got transferred to the U. S. via Operation Paperclip along with thousands of other German scientists and technicians.

But then Joe goes on showing Ben Askren a video of what’s supposed to be footage from the Moon where one of the astronauts falls down and is then obviously yanked up by some kind of strings. It looks so unnatural that even Ben laughed hysterically. Joe Rogan is convinced that at least some part of the whole moon landing thing is fake and we believe he’s onto something!
Macaulay Culkin – a Ballet Dancer?
When visiting Joe Rogan, Macaulay Culkin opened up about growing up as a child star and that it wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. While he did like to be in the center of attention, the whole thing was more like a job to him or a routine like going to school.
He never had any say in the projects he took part in and everything was decided by his parents. But one good thing about the whole experience is that now he's pretty much free to do whatever he wants still getting some money from the movies he starred in. It was truly a unique experience!

One of the weirdest confessions made by Macaulay Culkin on the show was that he used to be a ballet dancer. Like, for real! Before becoming an actor that was his occupation, if you can say that about a small kid. He also casually mentioned that he could have played in The Big Bang Theory. Now that would have been a real treat for the eyes!
Dr. Bradley Garrett and the Forbidden Underworld of London
Did you know that there around 5 layers of deep underground tunnels beneath London? As crazy is may sound, that’s actually true - Dr. Bradley Garrett and his team went underneath London to explore the space hidden underground and, oh boy, it was a full on adventure.
It all started with finding abandoned subway stations by matching the old 1932 maps with current ones. There were around 14 stations that simple ‘disappeared’ and were closed for the public. He and his team went on cracking them open just to look what was inside, documenting their discoveries in a blog. While they were worried the police would notice them, they finished exploring the subway and everything was silent. Until 8 months later…

Dr. Bradley Garrett was actually arrested right on the plane as he was coming back from Cambodia via Heathrow. He couldn’t be prosecuted for trespassing as there is no such law in Great Britain, so they came up with some other bogus reason. The trials went on for 3 years, the British government spent $400k and eventually the explorer gave in to save his fellow teammates from the same charges. He paid $3,000 and was let go.
Michio Kaku about UFOs
The UFOs have certainly been around for ages, whether you believe in them or not. Countless sightings and now even metric data prove that there is something out there that we don’t have explanation for. Michio Kaku, a futurist and a physicist, talked about how our view on UFOs changed over the years.
He isn’t even questioning whether they are real – he goes straight into analyzing the data that’s already there: the speed with which they move, which greatly exceeds the speed of sound, and the way they zigzag through the sky, and the fact that they move without any sonic boom or exhaust trail left in the sky. Nowadays we have videos that prove they exist!

But what are they? One of the possibilities, according to Michio Kaku, is that those are hypersonic drones, but the UFO sightings date back dozens of years, so they couldn’t have been built back then. Unless, of course, they weren't built by humans at all. Either way these things demand proper investigation on a global scale!
So Why Did Jon Stewart Retire from The Daily Show?
Jon Stewart leaving The Daily Show truly shook everyone back in 2015. Having run the show for 16 years, Jon Stewart was the voice of sanity (and sarcasm) everyone was longing to hear in the world that made so little sense with its politics and crazy events. Naturally, Joe Rogan wanted to know Jon Stewart’s story regarding this, among other things.
It turned out the man simply burned out doing the job in the rhythm dictated by the show-runners and the everlasting unstoppable flow of news that just never seemed to end. He just felt he couldn’t do it anymore, so he decided it was time to go.

There came a point when he simply didn’t know what to do with this endless news flow and felt that both he and the audience needed a fresh perspective. They also talked about Jon Stewart going vegan after he and his wife started a rescue farm and he got to know the animals personally. That was quite different from Joe Rogan’s hunt-and-eat-them perspective!
What Kanye West is Truly Mad About
Joe Rogan put out a call out for Kanye West on Twitter back in 2018, and a lot of things happened since then – the world changed, the pandemics happened, Kanye supported Trump and then decided to run for presidency himself. A certain amount of events has build up and finally Kanye West showed up at Joe Rogan’s Show.
Kanye West is largely misunderstood when it comes to him talking about something. On Joe Rogan’s show he admitted that whenever he tries to describe something – it’s a ‘symphony of ideas’ and like with food that has different seasoning, he needs to mention various aspects of what he’s trying to say. But that’s not what truly makes him mad. Do you want to know what that is?

It turns out Kanye West is a huge fan of George Lucas’ Star Wars and believes that those prequels are truly the best, especially compared to the follow-ups created by Disney. And when someone says that isn’t true he gets truly mad! That’s really something he can’t tolerate.
Miley Cyrus and Her Head Injury
Did you ever hear Miley Cyrus talking freely about the head injury she got when she was just 2 years old? Well, if you haven’t, then go ahead and watch that JRE episode because its pure gold. Not only did she share that story about her father giving her one of the gravest injuries ever, especially for an infant, but she also confessed that it might have changed her personality.
According to Joe, many people who have sustained head injuries had a shift of identity towards a wilder side, so maybe that’s why Miley enjoys all things radical and unique? Contrary to Miley Cyrus’ stage persona and social media presentation she’s incredibly down to Earth and open about the darkest of her experiences.

She even talked about writing a children’s book, but without sugarcoating the reality kids born into. Now that’s something that we’d like to read some day!
How Your Cellphone Spies on You, According to Edward Snowden
Edward Snowden has been on the run from the U.S. government since 2013 and doesn’t like to appear in public for obvious reasons, but he made an exception for Joe Rogan, because who wouldn’t? Plus, you need to remind people you exist from time to time and expose something they should know.
This one time Edward Snowden appeared on JRE podcast to shed some light on the way smartphones are spying on people. It turns out any smartphone is connected to cell towers all the time. Each of them have a very specific code ascribed to a certain device, along with a unique number of a sim card, both of which are tied to your identity.

Network towers are constantly checking where our phones are to make all those rings possible, which means they know where you are all the time and that information is easily accessible. It’s like wearing a tracking device on you 24/7! That info about every person’s whereabouts in the world is being stored for later use.
What Brought Dave Chapelle Back?
Being one of the most famous and sought after comedians on Earth is no easy task. Dave Chapelle has been called a genius by many people, but inside he’s always remained true to himself – just an ordinary man with a keen sense of humour who's incredibly good with words.
He’s famous for having walked away from Comedy Central, losing a $50 million contract. ‘If you look at anything in life through the framework of money, you’ll miss most of the picture’, said Dave Chapelle on JRE podcast. And he was right! Dave Chapelle show was getting the best of him and he really needed time to step back and re-evaluate what he was doing. So why did he come back?

During his hiatus, Dave Chapelle decided to spend his birthday doing a stand-up at some regular bar that was about to close. In a matter of an hour the place was packed with people and he ended up doing 3-4 hours of stand-up. It was one of the best birthdays he ever had and that’s what made him want to come back to the big stage.
Alex Honnold, Frogs, and Free Solo Climbing
Alex Honnold, a world famous free solo climber, has more than one occupation. Did you know that he’s also into geology? That’s why he went to Guyana in South America to help study frogs and other rare species on an ‘island in the sky’.
Those rocks are called tepui and they really seem like islands just floating in the sky above the jungle. Naturally, apart from the geological studies, Alex Honnold ascended the steep rock and did it without ropes. He just couldn’t help himself!

Wei-Assipu-Tepui has never been climbed by anyone before so it was truly a historic moment for everyone involved. The life on the peak of tepui turned out to be totally unique and closer to that of Africa than the jungle at the bottom of the rock.
Neil DeGrasse Tyson on Counting Infinities
Having Neil DeGrasse Tyson on the show is a rare treat, and while Joe Rogan was struggling to finish a sentence without being interrupted by the science buff, the conversation was full of amazing facts. The astrophysicist literally blew Joe’s mind away when he stated that "Some infinities are bigger than others".
What did he mean by that? While Joe was grabbing his head trying to fathom the unfathomable, Neil DeGrasse Tyson explained that you could count the infinity by using different numbers – counting numbers, irrational numbers, and even transcendental numbers.

And if you’re wondering what’s that – those are the numbers you don’t get by solving any algebraic equation (numbers like Pi), and it turns out there are quite a lot of them and, as it goes, you could use them to count an infinity as well. As there are more of these numbers than, for example, counting numbers, this means that if you count the infinity using those it would appear to be ‘bigger’. It’s really hard to wrap one’s head around something like this!
