Sometimes, to start working out we need so little — just new gym clothes that will look incredibly cool and motivate us to stop being lazy potatoes, get out of the bed, and go to the gym. But what clothes are the best for training? What to choose among various tops and shorts?

Well, the most crucial thing is fabric. Sometimes you need the clothes to pull sweat away from your body and sometimes to absorb it. It depends on the weather, the place you are training, and a few other factors. Opt for the breathable synthetic fabric containing polypropylene. It pushes away the sweat from your skin while not absorbing it and not leaving an unpleasant “dirty” feeling.

Cotton absorbs sweat, and sometimes it feels heavier when training yet it’s also ok to opt for it. The fabric that you should avoid is the one that doesn’t breathe. For example,  rubber-based or plastic-based materials keep your body temperature too high when training and are an awful choice when it comes to comfortable gym clothes.

Comfort is the second main thing you should mention when choosing your ideal training garments. You have to feel comfy while training, it’s a must. Otherwise, you won’t do your best and will just always think about your clothes. For instance, when running or biking, don’t wear wide-leg or baggy trousers — they will simply get tangled up in your feet. If you are a Yoga lover, opt for the stretchy items that push sweat away.

When it comes to shoes, they have to fit well and support your feet. The ideal sneakers will reduce the impact when you jump or run. Pay attention to the insoles that are inside your shoes. They also have to support your feet when you train. For example, there are even special insoles for running, cycling, climbing, playing football, or tennis. You may find your ideal insoles for various sports and change them when needed.
